Job description: My client, an IT business support company, is currently seeking a service desk engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

My client are a successful IT support company that were founded over 12 years ago. Since then they have grown to become highly regarded in their field, and now provide IT support to businesses in London, Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas. My client pride themselves on having a lively and sociable environment so finding candidates who will fit into their culture will be crucial.

As a Service Desk Engineer you will be supporting some key clients in the area. You will be troubleshooting challenging queries so candidates should have experience in IT managed services. This role is a second line to third line support role and candidates should have at least 2 years prior experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) to be considered for this role.

My client is a customer focused business, and their customers expect solutions in a reliable timely manner. You will therefore take problem ownership with clear, concise, customer communication whilst managing expectations.

What you should have:

* Two or more years commercial experience working for an MSP supporting SME's.
* An understanding of and working within an ITIL framework.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Familiar with working to SLA's & KPI's
* An MCP/MCSE/MCITP/MCSA qualification would be desirable.

Technical Skills:

* Windows server technologies such as Exchange 2010 (2008, 2012) & Small Business Server (SBS)
- Install, configure and troubleshoot issues.

* Active Directory
- Configure sites and services, resolve issues.

* Hardware Server Management
- Upgrade both hardware and firmware. Raid configurations, iLO.

* DNS
- Running through the DNS structure to ensure domain entries exist for DC's, moving external DNS services around to different IP's when internet changes.

*Network infrastructure backup software
- Install and configure

* Virtualisation
- Office365
- VMWare
- Hyper V
