Job description: Service Improvement Manager & Business Development Manager - Dartford-Kent


Service Care Solutions are looking for an experienced Service Improvement Manager (peripatetic role) and a Business Development Manager based in the Dartford area of Kent.

Service Improvement Manager- This job is a peripatetic position so will involving travelling amongst a number of services. The working hours for this role are 09.00am to 17.00pm Monday to Friday, although some evening and weekend work may be necessary, based on the needs of the business. This vacancy is a permanent position paying £32k plus company car or car allowance.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The successful Registered Manager will lead the team at the organisations Registered Care Home. The emphasis will be to promote a person-centred approach in all aspects of the support. The organisations aim is to support residents to achieve their goals in life and they actively seek out opportunities for everyone to develop their skills and confidence through a variety of staff involvement, activities and other initiatives.
An objective will be to develop the staff team enabling the individuals we support to reach their full potential. Reporting to the Operations Manager, and working as part of a wider team of Home Managers, you will seek to ensure the highest standards of support are delivered in the service.
A driver is required, as travel is an essential part of the role as is the ability to stay away from home on occasions depending on the operation needs of the services.
Financially astute and exceptionally organised, the successful candidate will join them with a Registered Managers Award plus Level 5 Diploma, or equivalent qualification, or be eligible to complete the Level 5 Diploma. Someone who is experienced in care management and will possess excellent knowledge of Care Standards, Regulations and Valuing People is expected. Above all, the successful candidate should be as approachable, as reliable and as dedicated as would be expected from this position, and will be poised to hit the ground 'sprinting'.

Business Development Manager-This job involves extensive travelling so the successful applicant will have a full driving licence and travel expenses will be paid. The working hours for this role are 09.00am to 17.00pm Monday to Friday, although some evening and weekend work may be necessary, based on the needs of the business. This vacancy is a permanent position paying £40k plus company car or car allowance.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Regionally based relationship and development managers will be responsible for the management and business development of key customer relationships with Local Authority, NHS and private commissioners of services and increasing the company's presence in the market.
The relationship and development manager will manage a portfolio based on Local Authority geography, and will seek to build and develop business within their portfolio including residential, supported living and outreach services.
