Job description: Service Lead - Adults Services - Southampton

We are currently recruiting for a Service Lead to take on an initial 3 month contract within Adult's Services Department in Southampton.

This role offers a flexible daily pay rate based upon your experience so please let us know what rate you are looking for.

Some of your duties as a Service Lead will include:

*To be responsible for 4 services including respite, residential and day services.
*To support the development of service transformation plans and to translate these into effective delivery arrangements
*To manage Directly Delivered Services within budget.
*To liaise with relevant sectors including, Relevant Cabinet Members, Service Leads in other hubs (One Council), Integrated Commissioning Unit (ICU), etc.
*To represent Southampton City council at Skills For Care regional conferences and meetings
*To ensure all buildings within DDS hubs are kept to compliant condition in line with regulations.
*To lead in the effective compliance with the Care Quality Commission's key lines of enquiry ensuring there are effective auditing processes in place.
*To ensure suitable policies and procedures are in place and effectively reviewed to comply with Care Quality Commission and Housing operational needs.
*To lead in implementation of CQC KLOEs and raising the quality of service delivered by the hub.

Requirements to apply for this role:

*To have significant experience and understanding of Adult Social Care and Housing, including the impact of local demographics.
*To have experience of managing a team through a significant period of change in a complex and politically sensitive environment.
*To have managed all aspects of team performance including goal setting and performance review.
*To have experience of recruitment and selection of team members in accordance with relevant policies and legislation
*To have managed a service in accordance with service level agreements and/or customer service standards.
*To have experience of managing a budget and operating in accordance with financial policy and requirements.
*To have a strong track record of delivering transformational change programmes with associated savings.
