Job description: Service Manager - Swindon
A national housing association are recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to manager their Young People's Floating Support team, Young Parents' Accommodation service and Learning Disability service across the Swindon Area.

The Role
The Young Parents' Accommodation service provides supported housing in Swindon to young parents aged 16-25yrs old, the Young People's Floating Support provides a person-centred service to 16-25 year old in Swindon. Both schemes have dedicated staff that are line managed by the Service Manager who also oversees day to day operations.
The Service Manager will work as part of a management team across Bucks, Berks and Wiltshire and some travel to other schemes will be expected. Responsible for the operational management of a service or group of services; within a supported housing and/or retirement living setting. Effectively manage a team to provide a high quality customer focused service, ensuring delivery of legislative and contractual performance requirements
Your key responsibilities as a Service Manager will include:
*Service delivery and contract management
*Liaising with Commissioners and stakeholders
*Working with internal colleagues in Asset Services, Human Resources and IT
*Working with partners to deliver quality commissioned services and homes for customers in the patch

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have managemenrt experience within a housing and/or support environment, as well as the following:
*Experience of working with vulnerable customers
*Good communication and conflict resolution skills
*Good understanding and experience of I.T systems (Microsoft Office and databases)
*Report writing
*Organisational skills
*Flexible and responsive attitude
*To demonstrate IT Skills to include a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel as well as a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Care and Support; and complete relevant IT training where required.
*As you will be working across a large area, a driving license and vehicle will be beneficial

The Contract
This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week, on an initial 3 month contract with a strong chance of being extended
