Job description: My client, a Housing Association based in Nottinghamshire is looking for a New Build Site Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency contract and the successful candidate will have a full SMSTS qualification, experience in a similar New Build role and will be immediately available.

The main purpose of the role is to undertake Site Management duties on a number of New Build Construction projects for the client, including management and supervisory duties of trade staff.

The main accountabilities associated with the role are as follows;

Deal with trade management on site so that the workforce are motivated and directed so as to maintain output and adhere to standards.
Exercise discipline on site, taking the appropriate action with regard to any disciplinary issues that may arise, e.g. punctuality, standards of appearance, standards of behaviour, disputes, compliance and adherence to Health & Safety Standards and policy etc. Accurate records to be kept for all such issues as and when they occur and the Head of Construction Services to be informed.
Have a commercial understanding of the project, advising and implementing cost savings at all times, and represent NCH in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by, the project.
Responsible for managing new build housing construction of 50plus houses annually from site set up to completion with construction value of £5 million.
Responsible for delivering multi stream refurbishment works with construction value of up to £3.5 million.
Produce weekly and monthly reports in excel and word, updating progress data report weekly.
