Job description: My client, a local authority based in Leicestershire are looking for a Environmental & Waste Site Manager to join their team. This is on a full-time basis, through a temporary agency contract.

Essential Qualifications

Drivers licence with access to vehicle
Certificate of Technical Competence appropriate for HWRCs and WTS

Desirable Qualifications

Relevant H&S qualification e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH

The role involves:
Ensuring all employees observe H&S policies, processes and safe systems of work
Reviewing and drafting safe systems of work, risk assessments and COSHH assessments
Line management of areas supervisors and RHWS site staff
Applying the Council's disciplinary and other relevant policies
Undertaking Tool Box Talks, workbooks and other training packages
Coordinating small infrastructure and other projects e.g. concrete patching works, installation of canopies, installation of storage containers or similar, fencing repairs and replacements
Providing operational input and support to larger scale capital expenditure projects
Ordering consumables, PPE and equipment as required
Coordination and distribution of a small stock of consumables, PPE and equipment
Ensuring waste paperwork and records are accurate, appropriately stored and
Carrying out checks on environmental control measures, recording and reporting findings and making recommendations for future improvements.
