Our client, a private construction firm based in Bexley are looking for a Site Supervisor to join their team. This is on a temporary ongoing contract basis.
The purpose of the role is to:
- To supervise the construction activities that take place on a day to day basis on various work sites and ensure the successful completion of the contract under your supervision.
- To ensure activities undertaken on sites are carried out to the highest practicable safety standards and delivered to programme.
- To ensure current and future work activities are planned and resources (labour, plant and material) are available
- Ensure delivery of briefings including start of shift, method statements, risk assessments and regular toolbox talks covering appropriate health, safety and environmental issues are recorded and understood by your teams
- Monitor quality standards on site ensuring high standard of works to meet the specification requirements 'first time' and minimise rework
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;
- A degree/HND or equivalent would be ideal but not essential.
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- EUSR Card water hygiene
- Experience in the delivery and supervision of Utility works i.e. Water/ Wastewater works
- Experience with Shafts/headings/ Deep Drainage projects
