Job description: Cardiff council are looking for a Social Care Workforce Development Co-ordinator to their partnership. This is a temporary, full time position for 3 month with an immediate start available! The Social Care Workforce Development Partnership was established to develop and implement strategies that address the training and development needs of the whole care sector in Cardiff. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and progressing the work of the Partnership.

The duties of the role will include:
*Undertaking a key role in the development and implementation of a comprehensive workforce development plan for the statutory, independent and voluntary social care sectors.
*Supporting the Social Care Workforce Development Partnership in achieving its objectives through the planning and co-ordination of meetings and other related events.
*Identifying training needs and contributing to the planning and implementation of a range of training and development opportunities.
*Organising and supporting specific training activities to assist the sector in meeting its workforce development responsibilities.
*Building on links with existing multi-agency training groups and working with other training providers in order to support the work of the Partnership.
*Supporting and contributing to initiatives which support career opportunities across the social care sector.
*Monitoring expenditure and contributing to the development of any financial systems required for the operation of the Partnership.

The Ideal candidate will have:
*Enhanced DBS check
*Professional qualification in Social Work, Social Care, Education, Training or Health
*Experience of working in the social care or health care field.
*Experience of partnership working in social care or related field.
*Full UK Driving License
