Job description: We are currently looking for a Social Work Deputy Team Manager to join the Disabled Children's Team with Islington Council.

The contract length for this role is a 3 month temporary contract whilst recruiting permanently, working 36 hours over Monday - Friday.

The hourly pay rate for this role is £34.

About you:

*Approved social work qualification and post qualifying experience as a supervisor in a fieldwork setting. Current HCPC Registration.
*Previous experience of management in a statutory team is essential, and experience of working in a disabled children's context preferred
*Considerable experience of assessing, prioritising and responding to referred risks; and incorporating multi disciplinary input to assessing need and formulating multi agency plans.
*Able to lead and motivate staff.

About the role:

*A key role in supporting the development and implementation of integrated and co-located health and social care services for disabled children and their families in Islington, based at the Northern Health Centre
*Ensure the participation and inclusion of disabled children and young people and their carers during decision making, promoting consultation and involvement and supporting staff to do so also.
*Provide line management and casework supervision to qualified social work staff linked to the multi-agency teams.
