Job description: Cardiff Council Children's services are looking for qualified social workers to join a team, working specifically with teenagers aged 11 plus, who are subject to Care and Support (Child in Need) plans. This is a full time, temporary role for an initial period of 3 months with an immediate start available! This is an exciting opportunity to join a team which puts the individual at the heart of the work. The team works from a strengths-based (Signs of Safety) approach to meet the needs of the young people with whom they work.

The duties of this role will include:
* Managing and prioritising a workload as an allocated social worker to children aged 11
* Undertaking Wellbeing Assessments and completing S47 enquiries
* Carrying out visits and meeting statutory time frames
* Preparing for and participating in decision-making forums
* Working actively with children, young people and their families to identify and meet their
support needs
* Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of plans

The ideal candidate will have:
* Social work degree, or equivalent
* HCPC or Care Council Wales registered
* Experience of working with children and their families
* Full UK driving license and vehicle
