Job description: We are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker within Nottingham Childrens Services. The post is to work alongside their Children In Care Service.

The position is for an initial 3 months ongoing with rates of £32 per hour.

The Team provide social work service to children and young people who are subject to a Child Protection Plans and / court proceedings. Candidates will undertake regular visits to see the child or young person and their parent or carer. This includes working alongside a range of professionals to provide advice and support to families.

In this role you will also be responsible for initiating care proceedings, providing written evidence, attendance at court, advocates/professionals meetings.

Candidates will need to have significant post qualifying experience in Court work and Child Protection. You will have knowledge and experience of Safeguarding and of legislation, regulations and guidance relating to Children's social care together with an ability to assess and manage risk.

- SCS will pay up to £250 each year to help with your Continuing Professional Development.

- SCS will pay a "Thank you" bonus to Qualified Social Workers after each 12-month period they complete with SCS.
