Job description: We are looking for Band 6 Mental Health Social Workers for a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist Mental Health Acute Ward based in Suffolk, within the NHS.

Temporary pay rate Band 6:
*Days £24ph
*Nights & Saturdays £30ph
*Sunday & Bank Holidays £36ph

Hours and length of contract:
*Full Time mixed shifts- long days/weekends/nights (part time considered)
oEarlies 07:00 - 15:00
oLates 13:00 - 21:00
oNights 20:30 - 07:30
*Initial 3 month contract (likelihood of extension)
*The manager requires the position to be filled ASAP

Daily Duties:
We have an exciting opportunity to join a Psychiatric Liaison Service within an acute hospital setting for service users requiring a safe and therapeutic setting to promote mental health recovery.
The service is a single point of access for referrals from Liaison and Emergency functions for patients aged 13 and over with a range of mental health issues such as:
*Depression
*Bipolar affective disorders
*Psychosis

Your role will be to improve the response to and management of referrals and improve knowledge and understanding of mental health issues within the hospital to improve patient prognosis and outcome. You will also be a confident and experienced practitioner with excellent assessment skills and the ability to formulate clinical decisions and management plans and act on them quickly, whilst working in a demanding and challenging environment.

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
