Job description: Social Worker
Nottingham Children's Permanency Team
3 Month Ongoing
£32.00 per hour

I am looking to recruit an agency social worker to join the permanency team and undertake adoption related work. This will include a range of tasks, associated with creating permanency for children through adoption including undertaking the writing of CPRs and non-agency adoption assessments.

We require candidates who possess the following:
Understanding and working knowledge of relevant legislation which governs social work practice and permanency planning.

Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues and partners.

Ability to risk assess family members and friends to ensure care placements are safe and secure.

Knowledge and experience of court work, care proceedings and the adoption process.

Understanding of what contributes to placement stability, good outcomes for children and the role of contact and effective supervision of contact longer term.

An ability to plan transitions and formulate realistic and appropriate contact plans over short, medium and long term.

An ability to carry out sibling assessments and have completed Child Permanency Reports previously.

Understanding and an ability to carry out work in relation to SGO's and present cases at Permanency Panel/ Adoption panel.
