My client; a new independent Fostering Agency is looking for a Fostering Social Worker to be based in East Midlands, this is a home based role!

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Supervising Social Worker to join a great team with a 21st century attitude to work. This role can be completely home based this attitude focuses on work life balance so this role can work well with anyone! Whilst still providing the best service to your fosterers and young people!

The successful candidate will cover carers and fosterers within the East Midlands Area.

The Role
* To undertake the statutory role of supervising social worker - including to recruit, assess, train, supervise and support post-placement a number of foster carers in line with agency policy and procedures.
* To ensure that children's care plans and agreements between foster carers, other agencies and pertaining to a placement are complete and adhered to.
* To attend fostering panels to present assessment and review reports on behalf of the agency.
* To participate as member of Fostering team.
* To ensure a clear and consistent focus on safeguarding of children and young people.
Specific Duties
* To contribute to the recruitment and selection of foster carers through recruitment drives, open days, reviewing intimal enquiries and undertaking initial home visits.
* To undertake fostering assessments, using the competencies-based Coram BAAF
Form F, including following up safeguarding checks and references.
* To present applications to the fostering panel and to attend local authority fostering panels to present Form F's and matching reports on behalf of the agency.
* To participate in agency training activities for both foster carers and staff.
* To formally review the approval of foster carers at least annually and report to a fostering panel.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Pay: £28,000 pro rata

Candidate Profile
The successful candidate for this position will have extensive experience of working as a Social Worker within a Fostering or similar setting. Has a willingness to learn new skills on the job and be able to work within a fast paced team environment.

* HCPC
* Enhanced DBS
* Experience of working within a Fostering setting
