Job description: Support Coordinator, North London (N5)
A large housing association are recruiting for a Support Coordinator to provide tenancy related support to a caseload of clients in Highbury.

The Role
The focus of the role is to work with those who may have housing issues, language barriers, families with welfare concerns, people with learning, physical or mental disabilities, financial problems and those with relationship issues.
You will be supporting 14 - 16 tenants consisting of either single people or families you will be out and about, a part of the community as well as part of the team. This will involve the following tasks and responsibilities:
*Co-ordinate and maintain the package of support including personally providing support, accessing and liaising with other resources, including:
*acting as a key provider of support services
*advocating on behalf of service users
*welfare benefits advice and budgeting skills
*accessing resources from statutory and voluntary agencies
*Developing skills for independent living and successful tenancy sustainment.
*ensuring access to employment and training services

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have experience of understanding support needs of vulnerable people, gained either in the field or in a life capacity, and be committed to continuing the excellent work of this service. You will also require strong IT, written and oral communication skills

The Contract
This is a temporary contract covering the recruitment of a permanent employee, so there is a strong chance the role could become permanent.
The position is full time, working 9:00-17:30 Monday to Friday - paying £10.50 per hour.
