Support Worker

Job Description

Service Care Solutions are currently recruitinga Support Worker for a Supported Living Service in Staffordshire. This is a highly specialist service supporting 8 individuals who have diagnosis of Autism, Learning Disabilities and Epilepsy. The service users require 2:1 ratio of staffing at all times.

Service Hours: Monday - Sunday [20:00 - 08:00] Waking Nights

Shifts:

Rolling Rota Week 1 : 3 Shifts Week 2 : 4 Shifts Weekends : Alternative Weekends


Pay:
£12.00ph (Ltd) Days

£12.50ph (Ltd) Week Nights

£13.00ph (Ltd) Weekend Days

£13.50ph (Ltd) Weekend Nights

£14.00ph (Ltd) Bank Holidays

Daily Duties:

Assist people using our services to:

  • Support people aged 18-65 who require a high level of support, but are ready to take the next step towards independence in their community
  • Live more fulfilling lives and develop new meanings and purposes

Ensure the safe running of the service:

  • Assess resident wellbeing and welfare on an ongoing basis
  • Keep our service compliant with legal regulations
  • Provide a safe, respectful environment

Keywork:

  • Oversee your own key clients and their case loads
  • Concentrate on the person and their individual needs, choices and aspirations
  • Work with individuals to develop agreed, meaningful and achievable person centered plans with positive outcomes that meet the individual's aspirations
  • Ensure positive risk assessments are created and implemented in line with our policies and procedures

Manage your own workload:

  • Plan and carry out your core areas of responsibility
  • Complete accurate and timely computerised records
  • Liaise with external agencies


Person specification:
The applicant must have previous employed experience working within Learning Disabilities, Mental Health or Challenging Behaviour Sector and be confident to set boundaries.
It would be beneficial if the applicant holds a transferable DBS for immediate start.
