Job description: Support Worker, Ipswich. Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Support Worker in Ipswich. As a Support Worker based in Ipswich, experience of working in a homeless environment as well as of dealing with customers with multiple complex needs within a challenging environment and dealing with potentially volatile situations is also required. You will be working with emergency bed customers so you will need to be able to deal with pressurised situations.
A key feature of this role is to work alongside, and provide support to, clients and their families in a person centred way to help them actively move towards living independently, whilst assisting with practical tasks based upon their needs; this will include budgeting, helping with appointments and helping achieve goals given by support staff.
This is a 39-hour role, working 5 days in 7, including weekends. The shifts will be on a rota basis and most shifts will be late shifts 12-9pm, 1pm-10pm, 2pm-11pm
Due to the nature of the customers, you will also require an up to date, enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months.
