Job description: Support Worker
A nationwide housing association are recruiting for a Support Worker to join their team in Bristol and facilitate the delivery of individual, positive outcome focused support packages to service users.

The Role
The focus of the role is to ensure that the support service promotes empowerment and independence and be part of a staff team that is committed to 'best practice' in the social housing field. This will include the following responsibilities:
*Deliver a 'best practice' support service.
*Assist clients with day-to-day tenancy issues.
*Knowledge of 'best practice' in both crisis intervention and planned support working.
*Undertake referrals and assessments of potential clients.
*Ensure clients have access to relevant external support services.
*Work with clients to agree and set goals and actions.
*Ensure that opportunities for education, training and employment are integral to the support service
*Maintain accurate and timely records of all activities.
*Provide practical support and information to clients when entering the service and throughout.
*Work in line with 'health and safety' and safe guarding requirements.
*Understand that your efforts will be client led; be accountable for positive and tangible outcomes.
*Working as part of a multi-disciplinary staff team and meeting the requirements of a rota system, ensuring support is available across all schemes in the cluster.
*Work with colleagues to ensure key performance indicators are met.
*Ability to use appropriate IT systems and maintain professional and timely records.
*Provide a high quality, service championing "Mary Gober" practices.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will require previous experience working with Sheltered Housing service users, and a strong understanding of the issues affecting supported housing clients.

The Contract
This is a 12 week contract, which has the potential to be extended or maybe become permanent.
The position is based on a rota between Monday and Sunday, working 37.5 hrs a week on a variety of shifts.
There is also the possibility of Bank Work at the scheme, so if you would just like the potential to work a few extra hours a month, this could also be a great option!
