Job description: Vacancy working as a Care Support Worker for patients with Learning Difficulties and Autism Spectrum disorder, based in Redhill.

The ideal candidate will provide specialist intensive support to individuals with severe challenging behaviour, and whose needs cannot be met within mainstream services.
The home is occupied by 9, male service users who need support with all aspects of their daily lives, personal care and activities though the gentleman are able to do some activities independently with guidance and prompting.

Within the home there are weekly COVID tests and it would be expected that the staff member complies with this. The candidate will be expected to wear the NHS SABP polo top at work and comply with PPE guidelines.

The candidate will work with 3 other staff members. Shift leader will plan the shift but all staff will be responsible to make sure the shift goes well and the gentleman are supported along with their activity plan for that day.

Staff members are responsible to cook meals whilst on duty and to do some cleaning tasks.
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and must have previous experience of working in a care setting, preferably within the NHS.

The shift pattern for the role is earlies, lates and potential for occasional waking nights.

Shift patterns are full time hours, with a flexible pattern.
The hourly rates for the role are:
*£11.50 p/h Monday - Friday
*£13 p/h for Saturdays and Nights
*£14.50 p/h Sunday's and Bank Holidays.
