Job description: Support Worker, Norwich. Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Support Worker vacancy in Norwich. As a Support Worker based in Norwich you will require experience of housing and welfare benefits as you will be working in a supported accommodation scheme for single people who are either homeless, at risk of homelessness, or those who are unsuitably housed. You will be working alongside them in helping them to successfully move to independent accommodation and a situation where they are living independently of the scheme.
In the role you will be required to deliver excellent customer centred care and support in taking a person centred and positive risk-taking approach in order to enable customers to maintain and improve their independence, effectively manage and improve their personal safety and improve their social, emotional and mental well-being. This will include undertaking assessments of customers support and safety needs, as well as their aspirations and keeping support and safety plans under review and working with customers to ensure that changes to their circumstances are reflected in their best interests in their support and safety plans - therefore you will need to be IT literate.
Due to the vulnerable nature of the service users, you will require a current, clean DBS on the Update Service to start. This is a full-time role, working 39 hours per week, on a contract running until the end of October.
