Job description: Support Worker, Norwich.

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for two Support Worker roles in Norwich. As a Support Worker based in Norwich, you will require experience working with the homeless, as well as having some experience of working with mental health issues, substance misuse and challenging behaviour. In the role, you will be working with single homeless adults with support needs ranging from homelessness, family/relationship breakdown, mental health, learning disabilities, substance misuse, domestic violence, care leavers or offenders. You will be working with the service users to assist them in making benefits claims, managing money, budgeting skills and how to obtain debt advice, as well as finding long-term accommodation and help with registering with choice based lettings, housing associations and private landlords. Other key aspects of the position include identifying training, education, employment and voluntary work opportunities, so you will also need to be IT literate and will ideally be NVQ/QCF Qualified.

In the role you will be required to deliver excellent customer centred care and support in taking a person centered and positive risk-taking approach in order to enable customers to maintain and improve their independence, effectively manage and improve their personal safety and improve their social, emotional and mental well-being. This will include undertaking assessments of customers support and safety needs, as well as their aspirations and keeping support and safety plans under review and working with customers to ensure that changes to their circumstances are in their best interests and reflected in their support and safety plans.

This vacancy is full-time and ongoing. To apply for the role you will require a current DBS with no convictions.
