Job description: Service Care Solutions currently have a vacancy available for a Team Leader within the Meals on Wheels Service that operates through Cardiff Council. This is initially a temporary position for a period of 3 months with a view to this being extended on a rolling basis and with a pay rate of £12.85per hour.The position is for 30 hours per week and the successful candidate will be required to work every second weekend.

The main purpose of this role will be to supervise the Meals on Wheels staff to ensure an effective and reliable service to all customers and ensuring the centralised systems and shift cover are managed to the highest of standards.
Some of the daily duties of the role will include:

1.Lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering the required service, in support of customer service outcomes and corporate priorities within a meal delivery service.

2.To effectively manage the resources available to provide an efficient and effective meal delivery service at all times.

3.To be responsible for supervising cooks and drivers and for meeting agreed targets.

4.To maintain productive working relationships with all service areas, key stakeholders and suppliers. To ensure the highest levels of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

5.To monitor and manage income and expenditure, ensuring billing and recovery is carried out correctly

6.To develop and implement rotas and cover arrangements to ensure that the service is properly staffed at all times.

7.To manage the database - including making daily updates to customer records, reporting on customer numbers, identifying trends and providing business information.

8.To ensure effective route planning so that our customer receives the correct meals on time.

9.To liaise with suppliers to ensure stock levels are maintained to the necessary levels, resolving any issues with supply and ensuring food is stored in adherence to regulation.

For this position, we are seeking a candidate who;
* Previous supervisory experience and experience of coordinating rotas and performance management
* An Enhanced DBS check
* Has a full UK Driver's licence
