Job description: Luton borough Council have a requirement for Team Manager to join the Adoption team. Based at Town hall

To lead and manage a team to achieve better outcomes for children, young people and their families through the delivery of high quality fostering services. Strategically developing the service to meet specific legislation, regulations, inspection requirements and other local targets

To drive the permanency agenda for children in care across the council by managing and directing resources and budgets in order to provide services to support children and families with children in care.

The post holder will also:
*Be responsible for the allocation of work and implementation of Service delivery in accordance with statutory/regulatory and operational standards, policy, and procedures for the service.

*Review practice and targets and make recommendations for improvement systems, policy development and operational standards.


*Responsible for staff compliance with Legislation, National Regulations, Standards and guidance and PCC policies and procedures

*Manage workforce planning, recruitment and induction of staff


*Be responsible for the collection and analysis of performance management information and to manage this information effectively to achieve the Departments objectives, and targets for improvement.

*Ensure staff they are responsible for fulfil the requirements of registration with the HCPC in respect of conduct, professional development and National Occupational Standards.


To apply : You must have Team manager Post qualified experience as well as fostering and adoption experience ideally 2-3 years' experience is needed.
-HCPC registered is essential
-Driver/access to own transport is essential also
-Ability to support and lead
