Job description: Team Manager, Early Help, Working from home

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Work Team Manager. This is in the Early Help Team at Southwark, South East London.

The vacancy is to work Full Time on a 3-month rolling contract and to start ASAP!

Requirements -
*A degree or Masters in Social Work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification)
*HCPC Registration
*Previous Experience as a Team Manager in the Childrens Services

About the role:
The role will be line managed through Early Help but co-located within the MASH Service, but work closely with Assessment and Intervention /Safeguarding Teams to progress transfer and a smooth transition of cases to Early Help.

Some of your duties will include:
*Line management of up to 3 Early Help Duty Workers to attend and progress cases stepped down to Early Help Case Work Teams
*Provide exemplary leadership, management, and professional guidance to a team of early help practitioners, both directly and within their team
*Ensure the delivery of the Family Early Help Service driving high quality, comprehensive, integrated, systemically-informed practice with families where children have been identified as at risk of poor outcomes and to provide early help for emerging problems in order to improve impact, engage families better and avoid escalation
*Support continued progress of families who have 'stepped down' or 'stepped across' from statutory work and work with a high level of complexity
