Job description: Team Manager needed for Devon County Council, up to £41 ltd an hour depending on experience

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 3 months (chance of extension)
Hours per week - 37
Pay rate - up to £41 ltd an hour depending on experience
Location - Totnes or Newton Abbott
Team - Child Protection and Wellbeing

Job Description
Team managers have the direct management responsibility for the allocation, oversight and quality assurance of the work undertaken within their team. They will promote and sustain good multi-professional and multi-agency working within their locality and engage across the community to promote the welfare and safety of children
Experience Required
*Experience of supervising, supporting, mentoring and advising unqualified, newly qualified or experienced staff
*Experience of leading and managing change within an organisational context
*Experience of promoting practice which improves outcomes for children and understanding of dealing with poor performance
*Working within at least 2 different Social Care environments including understanding of safeguarding
*Working in a multi-agency context
*Complex case management including Court Work
*Leading improvement challenging the quality of social care practice
*Hold a recognised social work qualification (e.g. BA/MA Social Worker, DipSW, CQSW)
*PQ Award: successful completion of the Consolidation and Preparation for Specialist Practice module (Part 1 specialist level PQ) and either have achieved or be working towards Children and Families Studies or Leadership and Management PQ specialist level awards
*HCPC registration
