Job description: Tenancy Fraud Coordinator , Tower Hamlets.

Permanent Salary - £32,000 - £38,000 Per Annum.

Essential Experience:

*Experience of similar work
*Experience of working with partners and agencies
*Ability to work within and understand legislation
*Ability and confidence to work alone and in possible contentious situations.


Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be required to pro-actively investigate and take action in relation to all aspects tenancy fraud. This role will be focused on using data and intel to secure the recovery of any identified properties across the group that are being illegally sublet. The candidate will therefore need to be focused, have excellent communication skills and a passion for this type of work.

Role and Responsibilities:

*To use intelligence proactively to identify and investigate tenancy fraud and to counter fraud activity
*To maximise financial savings and efficiency gains through timely and thorough investigation
*To develop good working practice and procedures that assist with prevention of social housing tenancy fraud
*Preparing court and prosecution files to the required professional standard
*To lead on all aspects of the recovery of properties where tenancy fraud has been committed
*Promote fraud awareness and relevant training to housing teams
*Have an excellent working knowledge of policies and procedures
*Liaise frequently with other government agencies for fraud prevention and investigation
*Visit and interview tenants suspected of committing tenancy fraud
*Make notes and obtain written statements to a prosecution standard for possible use in court proceedings.
