Job description: Trading Standards Officer (Private Lettings Sector), Central London.
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Trading Standards Officer in the Private Lettings Sector, in Central London. As a Trading Standards Officer in the Private Lettings Sector, you will require a recognised Trading Standards Qualification and / or relevant experience. Furthermore, experience within the Private Lettings Sector will be highly beneficial.
In this role you will be actively contributing to the raising standards of Trading Standards and Consumer Protection in Tower Hamlets, by using appropriate interventions, using delegated powers and specialist skills (i.e. inspection, enforcement powers, negotiation and persuasion) within all types of commercial activity, with the aim to gain and ensure compliance with Trading Standards legislation so that the standards of consumer protection are promoted and enhanced for all customers.
This is a long-term temporary role starting immediately and running until the end of March 2018, with an excellent chance of extension.
