Job description: Support Workers, East Anglia. Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a number of Support Worker roles in East Anglia; specifically, various locations in Suffolk, as well as Norwich and Peterborough.

As a Support Worker based in East Anglia, you will require experience working with the homeless, as well as dealing with having some experience of working with mental health issues, substance misuse and challenging behaviour. You will also need to be IT literate and will ideally be NVQ/QCF Qualified.

In the role you will be required to deliver excellent customer centred care and support in taking a person centred and positive risk-taking approach in order to enable customers to maintain and improve their independence, effectively manage and improve their personal safety and improve their social, emotional and mental wellbeing. This will include undertaking assessments of customers support and safety needs, as well as their aspirations and keeping support and safety plans under review and working with customers to ensure that changes to their circumstances are reflected in their best interests in their support and safety plans - therefore you will need to be IT literate.
The schemes these roles will be based in are all 24/7 and so flexibility to work days, nights and weekends is essential.
The specific roles being recruited for are as follows:

Support Workers (39 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days)
-Felixstowe x 1
-Ipswich x 2
-Norwich x 1
-Peterborough x 1

Waking Nights Support Workers (HANC) (Working 4 on 4 off - usually 6am-6pm or 8pm-8am)
-Ipswich x 1
-Bury St Edmunds x 3
-Haverhill x 2
-Lowestoft x 1

These are 'ongoing' temporary roles with an excellent chance of being made permanent
Due to the nature of the service users, you will also require an up to date, enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months.
