Job description: Waste Water Operator Inverness

Please be aware that this role operates a shift rota. You will work a four on, four off pattern which includes night work.

Job Purpose
To report to the Team Leader with responsibility for the operational control of the Process Units within the Highland contract, so as to meet all operating targets as defined in the operating contract.

To perform a range of assigned activities including testing, routine checks, maintenance and problem solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost and quality standards.

To ensure all statutory Quality and Safety policies and regulations are satisfied, and that all company policies are implemented and maintained to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities for the role
*Carry out and report on a range of activities within established procedures monitor, test and analyse service performance and compliance with regulatory and business standards
*Ensure equipment and resources are used, maintained and replaced appropriately to meet business standards
*Carry out a range of routine activities to time and quality standards to ensure the smooth running of the overall process on a day to day basis
*Adhere to health and safety procedures in order to ensure the safety of self and others and minimise risk.
*Work within Company guidelines, including incident avoidance plans in order to minimise business risk.
*Support of planned maintenance system
*PPM and Task completion
*Carry out duties in accordance with Health and Safety and Company Operating Procedures.
*Pro-actively demonstrate and work to the Company's values of Service Excellence, Customer Intimacy, Innovation and People Focus.
*Ensuring that the Client's concerns and issues are dealt with or relayed promptly so as to ensure the smooth running of the overall contract
*To draw samples and test as required ensuring the optimal running of all plant and equipment
*Record and document all process information and analysis results
*To be involved in plant continuous improvement activities
*To ensure and maintain a superior level of aesthetics and housekeeping in and around the plant, equipment and buildings
*Safely and effectively monitor the operation of the process and conditions of the plant, making adjustments of controls
*Provide an appropriate response to emergency situations whilst on shift
*Assist in the preparation and implementation of planned plant shutdowns
