Water Technician - Yorkshire

Job description: My client, a local authority based in Leeds is looking for a Water Management Technician to join their team. This is a full time, temporary contract and the main purpose of the role is to assist the Planned Maintenance Manager in providing a comprehensive service in the monitoring and control of Legionella, also the conducting of risk assessments associated with water services within the clients properties.

The main duties of the role are outlined below;

Carrying out inspections of premises, providing control and monitoring of Legionella for water services
To assist in the delivery of specified elements of the Divisional Plan, Service Plan and Corporate Plan in relation to a defined activity or small range of activities, in order to meet targets and achieve improvements.
To assist in the promotion and delivery of positive solutions to achieving diversity and equality in all aspects of service delivery, community engagement areas, focussing on equality of outcome.
Actively support continuous improvement initiatives through contributing to cross Council projects and supporting the Management Team
To actively promote the development and maintenance of good working relationships with internal and external customers and other stakeholders to achieve corporate objectives and to maintain a position of service provider of first choice.
To carry out all duties in accordance with the Departmental Health and Safety Policy.
To actively promote a culture of personal responsibility and ownership of project issues
Assist in the maintenance of positive and productive team relationships, encouraging initiative, innovation and effective communication.
Deliver efficient, effective and quality services by way of flexible working and the acceptance of responsibility.
Undertaking other duties of a similar nature and responsibility as may be determined.
To comply with appropriate Quality Assurance procedures, and to assist in updating and improving these procedures as required by the team's service plan.
Providing a high quality and cost effective water management service to support the delivery of the clients capital and revenue programmes
