Job description: Experienced Case Officer wanted in a South London Youth Offending Team on a temporary basis. The role will see you continue to develop and manage the implementation and operation of Referral Orders and Youth Offender Panels within the service.


Necessary Experience required
*To have prior experience working with youth offenders and the criminal justice system and of implementing the Children Act of 1989 and 2004 and criminal justice legislation.
*Experience of preparing and presenting pre-sentence/other reports.
*Ability to recognise and deal effectively with safeguarding issues

Key Skills Needed
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a wide variety of people (young people, their families, other agencies and professionals)
*Strong organisational skills
*Ability to work well and remain relaxed under pressure
*Good level of it skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
*Being able to take own initiative as well as part of a team
