Job description: The Youth Offending Service in the West London are looking for a Youth Offending Officer to join them on a full time basis for 4 months (possibly extended).
You will be working as part of a multi-agency team providing an integrated approach to the delivery of services to achieve the principal aim of the Youth Offending Service which is to prevent offending and re-offending by young people in Brent.
You will be responsible for undertaking risk assessments, completion of intervention plans and risk management plans to address identified needs, prepare pre-sentence reports and referral order reports in line with National Standards, manage statutory programmes and participate in a duty rota system, interviewing young people and communicating with external agencies as necessary.
To be successful in your application, you must have hold a recognised qualification in Social Work or be a qualified Probation Officer or if you educated to degree level you must have substantial experience of working with youth offenders to go with it.
