Job description: Youth Worker - Personal Development needed for Slough Borough Council, £14.94 ltd per hour.

Start Date- ASAP
Contract End date- 3 months initially
Hours per week - 37
Pay rate - £14.94 ltd an hour

Description
To design, deliver and evaluate high quality face to face youth work in order to contribute to the effective to the effective delivery of personal, social and educational development programmes for vulnerable and targeted groups of young people, which seek to promote their active involvement and demonstrably has a positive impact on their lives and supports them in making a successful transition in to adult hold.
To support the development of youth voice mechanisms across Slough
To engage with young people aged 11-19, and up to 25 with additional needs, who require planned and targeted support above what can be delivered by universal services such as schools and commissioned youth provision providers.
To create and deliver outcome and impact focused plans to ensure timely support and coordinated interventions from other services when necessary to meet the young person's needs.
To act as a 'Lead Professional' as required to ensure holistic multi agency support is provided to children, young people and families.

What is required?
*Significant experience of engaging young people from different background both 1:1 and in groups with experience of working with high levels of vulnerability.
*Evidence of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, in partnership with relevant agencies to deliver integrated services to young people.
*Evidence of planning and delivering support packages for young people with multiple needs and evaluating young people's outcomes.
*Understanding of the issues affecting young people and the nature of services available to them.
*Ability to engage young people and work in an outcome-focused way both in groups and one to one
*Relevant professional qualification that grants full professional status in working with young people such as JNC recognised qualification in Youth Work, Personal Advisor/IAG Qualification at level 4 or above, or qualifications in professions such as social work, teacher, youth offending Service
*Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to undertake any training as may be required
*Enhanced DBS
