1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School

We are currently supporting a primary school looking to appoint a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a pupil with additional needs.

This role involves working closely with one child, helping them to access learning, stay engaged in the classroom, and feel supported throughout the school day.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs
• Supporting learning activities tailored to the pupil’s ability
• Encouraging engagement, focus, and independence
• Assisting with emotional and behavioural support where required
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or SEN setting
• A patient, calm and nurturing approach
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build trust and positive relationships
• A genuine interest in supporting children’s development
