Job Purpose

We are currently recruiting for an experienced OD Manager to join a busy HR team within a large public sector organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead key organisational development projects focused on talent development, employee engagement, and recognition initiatives.

This role will play a central part in delivering a modern and inclusive people strategy, ensuring staff feel valued, supported, and motivated to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on the design and delivery of OD initiatives aligned with organisational goals and values.
  • Oversee performance management, engagement, and staff recognition programmes, including awards and pulse surveys.
  • Review and improve the performance appraisal process, including related systems, data, and capability development.
  • Support directorates with workforce planning, organisational design, and bespoke OD interventions.
  • Develop and monitor OD metrics and engagement data to inform continuous improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and senior leaders on OD best practice.
  • Collaborate with HR, L&D, and Change colleagues to deliver joined-up and effective people solutions.
  • Manage an OD budget and ensure projects deliver measurable outcomes and value for money.
