People Lawyer

Service Care Solutions is working with a well-regarded local authority, based in Berkshire, which is looking to appoint an experienced People Lawyer on an interim basis. This is a fully remote role, offering an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile public sector matters while maintaining flexibility.
 
Role: People Lawyer
Location: Local Authority (Berkshire), Remote Working
Umbrella Rate: £55 - £60ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £48.44 - £52.79ph
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
 
Key responsibilities

• Supporting service areas with specialist people law expertise in either Education or Adult Social Care law.
• Advising senior officers and/or Members on complex legal issues.
• Delivering timely, high-quality legal advice within a local authority setting.

Essential requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) with litigation rights – essential.
• Substantial experience and specialist knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
  • Adult Social Care law.
  • Education law. 
• Ideally someone with public sector/local authority legal experience.
