Property Legal Assistant

Service Care Legal are working with a well-established, multi-office and Lexcel-accredited high-street law firm in the Romford area seeking a Residential Property Legal Assistant / Paralegal. This is a permanent opportunity within a busy and growing conveyancing department, offering stability, progression and a supportive team environment.
 
ROLE:                  Legal Assistant – Residential Property
LOCATION:         Romford
SALARY:              £28,500 to £30,000 per annum
 
Please note that this role will be fully office based during probationary period.
 
The Role
 

• Providing hands-on support on residential conveyancing matters, with regular client contact and responsibility for progressing files
• Managing conveyancing searches, Land Registry applications, engrossments and associated legal documentation
• Assisting with matters from exchange of contracts through to completion, including post-exchange requirements
• Working full-time, office-based, as part of a friendly and experienced residential property team

 
The Person
 

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in residential property within a legal environment (essential)
• Strong technical conveyancing knowledge with the ability to work independently when required
• Confident handling exchange, post-exchange and completion stages of residential transactions
• Highly organised, personable and client-focused, with excellent administrative skills
