Whether you're looking for day-to-day supply work or long-term placements, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and work within a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN settings.
Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Contract (2 weeks)
Location: Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, and surrounding East Lancashire
Pay Rate: Competitive daily rates, paid weekly (via PAYE)
Start Date: Immediate start options available; long-term roles commence September 2026
Candidate Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and creating a positive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting learning activities within classroom and SEN settings
- Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources
- Providing 1:1 support to students with SEN
- Managing behaviour in accordance with school policies
- Assisting teachers with student assessments and progress tracking
- Building meaningful relationships with students to support their academic and social development
Whether you're covering day-to-day absenteeism or commit to a long-term placement, your flexibility and dedication will be crucial.
Candidate Requirements

- Experienced Teaching Assistants (qualified or unqualified)
- Graduates and aspiring teachers seeking classroom experience
- Career changers with transferable experience (e.g., youth work, sports coaching, childcare, healthcare)
- SEN support staff and Cover Supervisors
All candidates must have:
- The right to work in the UK
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one on the Update Service)
- Two professional references from the last two years
