As we enter January 2020 I have decided to jump on the bandwagon and do ‘Dry January.’ I thought it would be a good idea to write a little bit at the beginning of the month and explain why I am doing it, then write again towards the end to let people know the affects it has had on me and whether or not I have stuck to it.
As someone who likes to have a drink at the weekend, I thought I would challenge myself to a whole month without having anything alcoholic to drink, when I decided to do this I thought, 'Wow, a whole month without a drink? This is going to be a challenge, especially considering I have so many things booked in for January which involve drinking'. However, I thought of the bigger picture and all the positives this will have on me;
- Saving money
- No Sunday hangovers
- Feeling healthier
- Having more motivation in myself
- No 'beer fear' / feeling down
This is going to be a challenge but I looking forward to the results, stay tuned for part 2 towards the end of the month.
