At Service Care Solutions we try our best to do as much as we can for different charities, in the past year we have had a charity bake sale for Derian House and we have provided winter warmer boxes for The Foxton Centre with our CSR committee coming up with new ideas of how we can help further with different ideas for our chosen charities. So for Comic Relief we decided to do another Charity bake sale after the success of the last one and do what for most in the company will be our first ever dress down day.

Everyone pitched together and ignored their diets for the day to bring in and eat some amazing cakes and donated money to wear their own clothes.

Comic relief was first set up in 1985 and has since raised millions of pounds to fight poverty in the UK and Africa every year. Red Nose day The charity deals with numerous things including

• Domestic violence
• Mental health
• Vaccines for easily prevented diseases that can turn life threatening.
• Empowering woman and girls
• Investing in children and young people
• Supporting people affected by HIV

The lasting changes comic relief have made are rights for disabled people - giving them a voice to speak out for themselves and making a huge change in government policy regarding discrimination, providing education to children in Sub-Saharan Africa such as learning to read, write and basic life skills – and also helping closer to home with children in the UK who are full time carers or living with adults battling with substance misuse.
