Round 1 for Vinny!

Case Studies

Normally I am used to hearing the sound of the sales bell ring around the office, however on the 27th April I will be hearing a different bell ringing and that will sound the start of the first round of my White Collar Boxing match for Cancer Research UK at Preston Guild Hall.

I have always wanted to commit to doing the above but have never gone through with it when it comes down to committing. This time, however. I have decided to throw myself in at the deep end and go for it!

I’m confident many clients. candidates and colleagues have been affected by cancer at some point, whether that is directly with a loved one or indirectly with an extended member of your family or friends. Even though I have been fortunate enough not to of been directly affected by this, that doesn’t mean I won’t be in the future and this is one of the reasons I feel this is such a great cause to put my body on the line for.

I have committed myself to an intense 10 week training programme at Reps MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) where I have been training twice a week and sparring on a Sunday. Being so close to fight night, I am now hoping I can generate as much support as possible in respect to raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Some Service Care Solutions staff are already aware that I have a sweep stake sheet on my desk which is £2 pair entry and the winner will take home £50 with the remaining £50 going directly to Cancer Research UK. If anyone is interested in entering this please let me know!

If you would like to come and watch the action live, here is a link to buy the tickets online.

I also have a just giving page and would appreciate any donation small or big, every little helps!

For now I will leave it at that and I hope to come back in on the Monday after the fight with no black eyes and a victory to go with it!
