All recruiters have heard it, and all recruiters love it, right?

At Service Care Solutions, our Trades and Labour division have a large focus on Business Development at the moment and with Christmas just around the corner we’ve put some of our favourite objections into a much loved Christmas jingle…


 How would you tackle these common objections when pitching to potential clients...?

On the first day of BD the gatekeeper said to me, “You can’t speak to the MD”

On the second day of BD the gatekeeper said to me “We don’t really use agencies”

On the third day of BD the gatekeeper said to me “We already have some excellent CVs” 

On the fourth day of BD the gatekeeper said to me “Do not call this number again pleaseeee” 

On the fifth day of BD the gatekeeper said to me “We have a preferred agencyyyy” 

On the sixth day of BD the Gatekeeper said to me “Try again in a few weeks”

On the seventh day of BD, HR said to me “We’re currently making redundancies”

On the eighth day of BD the gatekeeper said to me “We have a no names policyyyy”

On the ninth day of BD the gatekeeper said to me “We haven’t used agencies since 2003”

On the tenth day of BD the gatekeeper gave to me, THE CONTACT DETAILS FOR THE MD

On the eleventh day of BD the MD gave to me A REQUIREMENT FOR A BRICKIEEEE

On the twelfth day of BD the MD said to me “But we’ll only work on 1% fees..."
