World Book Day - Life Changing Books

To mark World Book Day, I wanted to share some of my favourite reads with you.

I have a real fondness for reading and, whilst I love a good crime thriller / fiction book, I have developed a huge passion for self-development / autobiographical books.

These are books that have helped me a great deal over the past couple of years. Whilst they are in no particular order, I would say that the ones further up my list are definitely are those I would recommend the most!

- Can’t Hurt Me – David Goggins
A book that pretty much changed my life. Find out more about this here

- Living With a Seal – Jesse Itzler
A fantastic account of what it's like to have David Goggins (see above) move in with you and train you for a month!

- First Man In and Zero Negativity – Ant Middleton

The former is the first book 'of this genre' that I read; an inspirational account. The second one is exactly what it says on the tin - it instills the mindset for seeing the positive in every situation.

- The Art of Resilience – Ross Edgley
What sort of guy swims around the whole of the UK in around 6 months? Has to duct tape his neck due to sores and continues to swim through horrendous seasickness and jellyfish attacks? This guys does. A previous blog of mine goes into more detail about this.

- Greenlights – Matthew McConaughey
Most of you will be familiar with this Hollywood star. I was a bit dubious when I first saw this book... however I absolutely loved it. Based on his decades of diaries, McConaughey creates a relatable, humorous and touching account that actually made me miss him once I'd finished it!

There are so many more books that I could talk and I'm sure I will share more with you in the coming months!
