1:1 Learning Support Assistant – KS1 & KS2

Contract Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) within a supportive primary school environment. This role involves providing dedicated support to help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children with additional learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for pupils across KS1 and KS2.
  
  
• Support pupils with learning activities and classroom engagement.
  
  
• Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
  
  
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
  
  
• Support pupils with social and emotional development.
  
  
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement support strategies.
  
  
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable.
  
  
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN needs such as autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties is beneficial.
  
  
• Patient, caring, and supportive approach.
  
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  
  
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3) is beneficial but not essential with relevant experience.
