Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston
Salary: £85 – £105 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time only

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide tailored support for a pupil with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey, ensuring they feel supported, confident, and able to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning, social, or behavioural needs.
  
  
• Assist with implementing individual learning plans and EHCP (if applicable).
  
  
• Adapt classroom activities and resources to suit the child’s needs.
  
  
• Support with personal development, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
  
  
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider school staff.
  
  
• Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
  
  
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  
  
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  
  
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
  
  
• (Desirable) Knowledge of SEN strategies such as autism support, ADHD, or speech & language.
  
  
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or equivalent) are beneficial but not essential.
