Accommodation Support Worker – Homelessness Manchester | Grade 5 | Urgent Start Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting Accommodation Support Workers to join a Manchester-based homelessness service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced support worker who is passionate about helping individuals and families overcome homelessness, maintain accommodation and make positive, sustainable changes in their lives.
? The Role As an Accommodation Support Worker, you will provide flexible, person-centred outreach support to individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or experiencing multiple and complex needs.
You'll work primarily within customers' accommodation, as well as in local community settings, helping people develop the skills, confidence and resilience they need to move towards greater independence.

Accommodation Support | Homelessness | Supported Housing | Outreach | Complex Needs | Tenancy Support | Social Care | Mental Health | Substance Misuse | Family Support
You'll need excellent communication skills, resilience and the ability to build rapport with people who may be difficult to engage with.
Most importantly, you'll need a genuine commitment to helping people achieve positive, long-term change.

- Assess customers' circumstances and help them prioritise the challenges they face.

- Support customers with tenancy sustainment, rent accounts, budgeting and affordability.
- Assist customers through the rehousing process and maximise positive housing outcomes.
- Deliver interventions focused on developing life skills and encouraging positive behavioural change.
- Provide flexible and assertive support to complex or hard-to-reach customers.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and other professionals.
- Challenge behaviours and patterns that may prevent positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and evidence the impact of support provided.
