We are currently seeking an experienced ADHD Specialist Independent Prescriber to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for the treatment and ongoing management of adult ADHD patients, including independent or supplementary prescribing in line with national guidance and internal clinical frameworks.
You’ll work collaboratively with Consultant Psychiatrists and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to safe and effective titration, clinical governance, and continuous service improvement.

In this role, you will be responsible for the treatment and ongoing management of adult ADHD patients, including independent or supplementary prescribing in line with national guidance and internal clinical frameworks.
You’ll work collaboratively with Consultant Psychiatrists and other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to safe and effective titration, clinical governance, and continuous service improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based prescribing for adults with ADHD in line with NICE guidelines and internal clinical policies.
- Manage a defined caseload of patients during titration and treatment phases.
- Respond to patient queries via a secure digital platform.
- Complete End of Titration Reviews (EOTRs) and annual medication reviews.
- Exercise autonomous prescribing rights and refer to senior clinicians when required.
- Conduct risk assessments and escalate safeguarding concerns where necessary.
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records using digital systems.
- Contribute to audits, service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
- Support refinement of clinical pathways and prescribing protocols.
- NMC registered RMN or RN (Adult/LD/Children’s) with mental health experience.
- V300 Independent & Supplementary Prescribing qualification.
- Minimum 1 year post-prescribing experience in an ADHD service (NHS or private).
- Experience managing ADHD medication initiation, titration, and ongoing care.
- GPhC registered pharmacist with Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
- Minimum 1 year post-prescribing experience in an ADHD service (NHS or private).

Desirable Experience & Skills
- Additional training in mental health or neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Previous experience in ADHD-specific services.
- Familiarity with stimulant and non-stimulant ADHD medication management.
- Understanding of clinical governance and quality improvement in prescribing.
- Comfortable working in a digital, fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment in remote settings.
- Experience delivering services remotely using digital platforms.
