Data & Survey Assistant – Flexible Admin Role with a People Focus
Location: North Northamptonshire Council
Salary: £17.50 UMB per hour (£13.50 PAYE)
Contract: 2 Months - potential to extend

We are working on behalf of North Nothamptonshire council and we’re looking for a proactive and reliable individual to support an important transport project. This role is primarily admin-based, with the flexibility to work from home for much of the time, alongside occasional face-to-face survey work in Kettering.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurate data entry and management
- Working through structured lists using Excel, Word, and specialist software
- Converting bus stop codes and transferring outstanding stop information
- Conducting face-to-face bus surveys with members of the public in Kettering
- This will include a couple of Saturday shifts, with working hours up to 7pm
- A detail-focused individual with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Experience working to deadlines and handling data accurately and efficiently
- Confidence engaging with the general public and the ability to build trust quickly
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Comfortable switching between independent admin tasks and public-facing survey work
- A role with variety – structured admin work plus meaningful community interaction
- Flexible working, with most admin tasks completed from home
- The chance to contribute to a project that directly supports local transport services
