Location: 160 Tooley Street, Southwark, Surrey, SE1 2QH
Contract: 6 months fixed term
Pay Rate: £18.85ph PAYE / £24.06ph Umbrella (paid weekly via an umbrella company)
Start Date: 17th November

About the Role:

To provide high-quality administrative support to the Domestic Abuse (DA) MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference). MARAC is a multi-agency panel that meets fortnightly to discuss and manage the risk to high-risk domestic abuse victims/survivors.

The role involves a range of administrative responsibilities including taking meeting minutes, preparing agendas, managing databases, and supporting monitoring functions, all in accordance with agreed procedures, national guidelines, and codes of practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the efficient and effective operation of the DA MARAC according to agreed procedures and guidelines.

  • Provide professional administrative support, including correspondence, database management, archiving, and filing.

  • Organise historic files in line with GDPR and data protection regulations.

  • Maintain electronic files and MARAC databases, including completing data returns to SafeLives.

  • Prepare case lists for MARAC meetings and organise written feedback from partner agencies.

  • Accurately record risk-focused minutes of case discussions at the fortnightly MARAC meetings.

  • Provide statistical information as required for SafeLives submissions and other monitoring purposes.

  • Work independently to manage workload, ensuring tasks are completed to agreed deadlines, accuracy, and presentation standards.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information regarding domestic abuse professionally.

  • Support the MARAC Steering Group as directed by the MARAC lead.


Essential skills and experience:
  • Ability to record accurate and consistent minutes to a high standard.

  • Confidence in handling and organising personal, risk, and demographic data.

  • IT literacy and experience using office applications for statistics, reports, and presentations (Word, Excel, databases, and presentation software).

  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work flexibly under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Effective teamworking skills to achieve targets and solve problems collaboratively.

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance is required for the role.
