Service Care Solutions are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority based in Greater Manchester to recruit an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their legal services team on an initial 3-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional with strong experience in Adult Social Care and Court to join a supportive Local Authority legal team and manage a varied and complex caseload.
Contract: 3 months initially, with the potential for extension
Location: Greater Manchester/Hybrid
Rate: £45–£50 per hour Umbrella, depending on experience
PAYE (including holiday pay): £40.10–£44.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities as an Adult Social Care Solicitor:

Key Responsibilities as an Adult Social Care Solicitor:
- Providing specialist legal advice to Adult Social Care teams on a range of complex matters.
- Managing a caseload involving the Court of Protection, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding issues.
- Advising on deprivation of liberty matters, including applications to the Court of Protection where required.
- Providing advice in relation to the Care Act 2014 and other relevant adult social care legislation.
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Previous experience working within Adult Social Care Law.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Court of Protection procedures.
- Experience dealing with safeguarding and deprivation of liberty matters.
